The Twilight Saga: New Moon Review

Director: Chris Weitz
Novel: Stephenie Meyer
Starring:
Kristen Stewart
Robert Pattinson
Taylor Lautner

I'd to give credits to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for still giving us that great chemistry we came to love in Twilight. It was amazing how their pain as Edward and Bella could look so real. it is not as intense as I expected it to be. I thought that Jacob's whole werewolf transformation and the introduction of the pack was kinda on a rush.

I'm still trying to find some good things to say about Taylor Lautner performance (for the benefit of the Team Jacob) but the only thing that's noticeable is obviously, his most talked-about physical improvement.

The Volturi scene as I quote Aro is "mezmerizing," though there was some changes, I find it rather a very good execution. How I wish, tho that there was a better introduction about them as it is in the book. Over-all, the movie was actually good. Thanks to Kristen and Robert for delivering. Just a warning tho for those who already read the book-- expect some deviation in this film or something that isn't in the film.

At the end of the film I've to say that I'm still under Team Edward.LMAO

2012 Film Review

Director:Roland Emmerich
Produced by:
Roland Emmerich
Mark Gordon
Harald Kloser
Larry J. Franco
Ute Emmerich
Written by:
Harald Kloser
Roland Emmerich
Starring:
John Cusack
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Amanda Peet
Thandie Newton
Oliver Platt
Danny Glover
Woody Harrelson
Liam James

I've to say that this film is quite entertaining if you are more into special effects but as a whole, It's not very substantial. I've read the stuff about the mayan's "prediction" of the world ending on 2012 and the film actually depicted the world crashing and crumbling which I thought was fantastic. The imagery was horrifying of course if that really were to happen.

Acting wise, It was alright. John Cusack isn't one of my favorite actors but he's okay, like there's a lot of acting to do because It's not like people will be focusing on it. Though, I have to give credit to the kid who played his son Noah (Liam James) for actually doing a great job!

Some scenes are funny and over the top specially when John Cusack (Jackson) was driving the limo with his family avoiding the chaos like collapsing buildings, the road cracks, debris and all. It's like watching Super Mario in a maze. It's basically the Noah's Ark modern twist. I love the scene when they are transporting the animals thru choppers, it was an amazing sight.

The film was okay if you are planning to spend your day off while feeling lazy. Will I be watching it for the second time? No.

500 Days Of Summer Review

DIRECTOR: Marc Webb
STARRING:
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Tom Hansen, a trained architect who works as a writer at a greeting card company; Tom is a romantic who believes in true love

Zooey Deschanel as Summer Finn, assistant to Tom's boss and romantic interest of Tom

Chloƫ Moretz as Rachel Hansen, Tom's sister

Geoffrey Arend as McKenzie, Tom's co-worker at the greeting card company
Matthew Gray Gubler as Paul, a friend of Tom
Clark Gregg as Vance, Tom's boss
Minka Kelly as Autumn
Patricia Belcher as Millie
Richard McGonagle as Narrator
----------
SYNOPSIS: Tom is a hopeless romantic greeting cards writer and Summer is simply a mean bitch.
This film is about relationships, committments, coincidences and making the right decisions.

In 500 days that Tom have known Summer, He thought that he's finally found the one but he was wrong. Summer is not into committments, she don't want to put label on it. She just want to enjoy herself while young and pretty and all that...

So the moment that our dear Tom assumed something, Summer disappeared from his life and--surprised, surprised! she married another guy... realizing that Tom is right all along that some things are really meant to be.

QUOTED BY TOM HANSEN:"You never wanted to be anybody's girlfriend and now you're somebody's wife"

I'll give this film a 3 out of 5 ratings for its unusual boy meets girl theme with a bitchy twist. The Music is awesome and the story is very much relatable specially if you're cynical about love. The sequencing of the film could get a bit confusing, but having a very simple yet complicated plot--you'd be able to enjoy it but surely, you're not gonna watch it for the third time. A couple of views are enough. My favorite scenes would have to be Tom seeking love advices from his little sister. Since Summer's attitude became unbearable, it's a good thing that we're able to breath every now and then...

The Time Traveler's Wife Review

Director: Robert Schwentke
Novel's Author: Audrey Niffenegger
Screenplay: Jeremy Leven, Bruce Joel Rubin
Starring:
Eric Bana
Rachel McAdams
Ron Livingston

This film actually reminds me of Lake House for the impossibility of the premises presented on the film but I am somehow delighted by Rachel McAdams' effortless acting which is still as powerful as we've seen it on the Notebook. The depth of her love for her time traveler's husband (Eric Bana) is so surreal that It's almost heartbreaking.

The movie adopted from the book with the same title by Audrey Niffenegger experimented with human relationships and how revisiting the past could actually make you happy, heal some wounds and go on with the future.

The impossibility of it is what makes it special. After watching the film, you'd be asking a lot of questions and easily judge it to be a little overbearing and ridiculous but it is actually a feel good film that you can enjoy watching with your love ones.

7/10
