I've to say that this film is quite entertaining if you are more into special effects but as a whole, It's not very substantial. I've read the stuff about the mayan's "prediction" of the world ending on 2012 and the film actually depicted the world crashing and crumbling which I thought was fantastic. The imagery was horrifying of course if that really were to happen.

Acting wise, It was alright. John Cusack isn't one of my favorite actors but he's okay, like there's a lot of acting to do because It's not like people will be focusing on it. Though, I have to give credit to the kid who played his son Noah (Liam James) for actually doing a great job!

Some scenes are funny and over the top specially when John Cusack (Jackson) was driving the limo with his family avoiding the chaos like collapsing buildings, the road cracks, debris and all. It's like watching Super Mario in a maze. It's basically the Noah's Ark modern twist. I love the scene when they are transporting the animals thru choppers, it was an amazing sight.

The film was okay if you are planning to spend your day off while feeling lazy. Will I be watching it for the second time? No.
