My Dream Diary - Recording Your Dreams

Okay, so I got this idea of recording my dreams from the book “The Ultimate Dream Decoder – Revealing The Secrets Of Your Subconscious Mind” – My ex and I bought it last year and thought that it’s a great way to interpret our dreams -yeah, we’re – I mean I’m that kind of person haha.

you can buy it at National Bookstore for P499.00

I’m supposed to write in a journal of some sort, so I thought of posting it on my blog instead. I will be naming this kind of post “My Dream Diary” as it is in the book. You can also do it if you want to join me and maybe we can discuss our dreams’ interpretations.

Join The First PhilPop Music Festival!

I’ve been trying to post something about the First Philippine Popular Music Festival but for some reason, I keep on forgetting it so with less than 15 days  before the deadline of submission of entries to this festival, I’d like to invite all the Filipino musician / composers out there to join the 1st PhilPop Music Festival. It is a songwriting competition open to all amateur and professional Filipino composers.

I’m actually interested to join the festival but I’m just really busy these days. I’d probably join next year though – hopefully.

The competition aims to: a.) Provide a channel which Filipino songwriters can create new songs, discover new expressions or genres in popular music; b.) Spark a renewed awareness, enthusiasm, and pride in Philippine music; c.) Start a brand new collection of freshly created Original Pilipino Music; and d.) Discover and promote new Filipino songwriters and singers. – PhilPop

Click the picture below to read the rules and the criteria of the festival.

Goodluck to everyone!

My Globe Tattoo 4G Flash Review

I promised to write a review about the Globe Tattoo 4G Flash after my 120 hours / five days free trial upon purchasing the unit. That time was up last Thursday, and I have been using the dangle until now using their Supersurf service. I have to tell you, though, that before using the 4G flash, I’ve been using the regular Globe tattoo dongle boasting a speed of up to 3.6 Mbps for a year before this. I wasn’t very satisfied with the reception I was getting here in Cubao, so I figured that I’d have to look for something better. Plus, upon reading good reviews from fellow bloggers and seeing their extensive advertisements about their “new” and “improved services,” I ought to give it a try, don’t I? Their broadband has this new skin, and it’s pretty neat.

Upon plugging in the dongle, a 21.6 Mbps prompt will tell you about – perhaps how fast the reception the dongle is getting – or not.

It's very slow, but I just got to endure it for now. What I don't understand is that I am only getting 3G signals. My bad, perhaps since I am living here in "Cubao." (duh! I thought I should be getting better reception here - FAIL) What a laugh! I wonder which location has 4G? This dongle cost me around 1k+ (gotta check my receipt), and to be honest. There's not much of a difference between the old Globe broadband I'm using (up to 3.6 Mbps) to this one. I guess what I like most about this, though, is their prepaid surfing service. I've no plans of actually signing up for a plan which usually has a locked-in period, so their supersurf services' just great to use it. At the moment, I'm still not pissed with the service I'm getting, unlike the experience I've had with Sun BroadbandThat's a total nightmare! Anyways, I'll continue using Globe 4G flash for now and will tell you in the future If I'm still with them.

Here are the speed tests I ran at around 1:50 -2:05 AM (5:53 GMT), and the results are just ridiculous!

I did not know that Globe Tattoo's SUPERSURF SERVICES (Unlimited Internet) actually have a limit of up to 800mb per day. Wow! That is indeed UNLIMITED! Thanks! I was able to finish all my work because of this bullcrap!

I was very annoyed when I’m working on something and I received this message   -
Name:
Number:8888
Content:
GLOBE Advisory:Your data subscription for today has reached 800mb. Your remaining browsing hours will resume tomorrow subject to promo validity. You may opt to forfeit your remaining subscription to browse for P5/15 or you may dial *143# for FREE and press "CALL" to register to any surfing promo. To unsubscribe text SUPERSURF STOP or POWERSURF STOP to 8888.Guided by Globe Acceptable Use Policy. Visit http://surf.globe.com.ph/fup.

I tried restarting my pc but it took me a day before I was able to use their service again. Such a bummer!

Eat Pray Love Break-Up E-mail

I was watching Eat Pray Love awhile ago on HBO and the scene where Julia Roberts’ character was writing her break-up e-mail to David (James Franco's character) totally hit home...

Dear David,

We haven't had any communication in a while, and it's given me time I needed to think. Remember when you said we should live with each other and be unhappy so we could be happy? Consider it a testimony to how much I love you that I spent so long pouring myself into that offer, trying to make it work. But a friend took me to the most amazing place the other day its called, The Augustium. Octavian Augustus built it to house his remains. When the Barbarians came they trashed it along with everything else. The Great Augustus Rome's first true great emperor. How could he have imagined that Rome, the whole world as far as he was concerned, one day would be in ruins. It's one of the quietest and loneliest places in Rome. The city has grown up around it over centuries. Feels like a precious wound, Like a heartbreak you won't let go of cause it hurts too good. We all want things to stay the same David. Settle for living in misery because were afraid of change. Of things crumbling to ruins. then i looked around in this place at the chaos its endured. The way its been adapted, burned, pillaged, and found a way to build itself back up again...and i was reassured. Maybe my life hasn't been so chaotic, It's just the world that is. And the only real trap is getting attached to any of it. ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation. Even in this eternal city. The Augustium showed me that we must always be prepared for endless waves of transformation.

Both of us deserve better than staying together because we're afraid we'll be destroyed if we don't.
