I’ve only been a huge fan of this show just a couple of seasons ago when Joe McElderry won the 2009 series. I was then rooting for Danni Minogue’s acts especially for Stacey Solomon who ends up finishing third and just last year, I was rooting for Rebecca Fergusson or Cher Lloyd to win but I am still happy that Matt Cardle won because I don’t want Cheryl Cole to be the winning mentor.
Since the US X Factor just premiered last week, which have not impressed me yet, I still love the judges’ chemistry (Simon, Nicole, Paula and L.A) – I’ve to say though that the UK version is still a notch ahead of its new US version. Given the fact that the only remaining original mentor was Louis Walsh, the show was still good. I love Gary Barlow being the Simon of this season, Kelly Rowland was adorable and Tulisa (whom I didn’t know at first) was very personable. She has honest comments and is very good in giving critiques.
I’d like to present to you some of my favorite auditions from this season (I’m actually a bit late posting this since the show’s already in Bootcamp – it’s like the Hollywood Round of American Idol)
Janet Devlin – she’s definitely my number one favorite for singing Your Song by Elton John with her very distinct voice quality comparable to Jewel if I may say.
James Michael – he’s really good and he’s got the look of a Hollywood star. His looks alone could get him through the finals.
Goldie Cheung – she’s crazy but she’s fun!!! See it for yourself.LOL
John Adams – he’s a math teacher and is really good. He’s like a second rate James Blunt.
And lastly, it’s Bradley Johnson – this kid has got potential. I think he’s really good and he’s so likeable!
I’m excited who’s going through the Judges House and then the finals. Hopefully all these five will make it. From the first bootcamp, John Adams was the only one I missed seeing but I think he made it. I’ll update soon. For now, enjoy these auditions!
