The X Factor UK 2011 Live Show 8 Recap - Top 5

Live Blogging

The Top 5 acts are going to sing two songs apiece tonight to impress the judges and the voting public. Whose dreams will continue tomorrow? Who’s your favorite to move on for next week?

First Song

Little Mix

Baby by Justin Bieber/Where Did Our Love Go – Rachel Crow sang this at the American version of X Factor and thought the latter did better than them. They were all over the place. I’ve high hopes for them so I wish they would do better on their second song!

Janet Devlin

MMMBop by Hanson – She is not good in memorizing I noticed! I hope she would have an amazing performance after this train wreck!

Misha B

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper – It is yet again another amazing performance! The rapping is back!!!

Marcus Collins

I’m Your Man by Wham – The dancers were a bit distracting. Marcus, please stop copying Bruno Mars! You’re adorable enough to be just Marcus Collins, okay?!

Amelia Lily

China In Hand by T’Pau – What a very weird song choice! The performance was subtle and steady though. I’m not too keen about her performance but I’m just glad that she went back to being blonde again!

Second Song

Little Mix

Beautiful by Christina Aguilera – Their harmony was a bit off in some parts but they pull through the end! Perrie (the blonde one) was such an incredible vocalist!!!!

Janet Devlin

Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers – I actually loved her second performance! I thought her choice of song was wicked! She’s true to herself and that’s what I’m really into her as an artist!

Misha B

Killing Me Softly by The Fugees – Her song choice was a bit predictable but she sang it (as usual) really well! The only negative thing I could say about her is her lack of originality

Marcus Collins

Lately by Stevie Wonder – I love this performance better than the first one. I just find it a bit shaky at the start otherwise, it’s okay!

Amelia Lily

Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson – What an amazing performance! This girl’s amazing!!! I’m glad she came back!

Performance Of The Night

Round 1 – Misha

Round 2 – Little Mix

I think the probable bottom two for tomorrow are Marcus Collins and Misha B.

The X Factor UK 2011 Results Show 7 Recap - Craig Colton Eliminated!

Live Blogging

Result’s show tonight!!! Rihanna will be performing as well as last year’s runner-up Rebecca Ferguson launching her first single entitled Nothing’s Real But Love! Who will be leaving us tonight?

Rebecca looked amazing as usual! She really has this high-end thingy going on about her! I wished her single the best of luck in the charts!

Rihanna performed her newest single We Found Love and her outfit kinda reminds me of Cher Lloyd when she performed about two weeks ago.

Call Out Order of Safe Acts

Misha B

Little Mix

Marcus Collins

Janet Devlin

So Amelia Lily and Craig Colton will be battling it out for survival! Let’s see what the judges have to say – If it’s a deadlock though, I’d love for Craig to leave.

Amelia killed the sing-off!

Judges Voted To Eliminate

Gary Barlow – Craig (backing his own act)

Kelly Rowland – Amelia (backing her own act)

Tulisa – Amelia (because she was moved.ugh)

Louis – Craig (yay!)

It’s a deadlock for the first time and the act who received the least number of votes is CRAIG COLTON! Byebye!

The X Factor UK 2011 Live Show 7 Recap - Movie Week!

Tonight’s theme is all about movies! Can Misha bounced back after being in the bottom with Kitty last week? Can Janet be not-boring for Gary? Will Amelia’s luck continue after getting a second chance on the show? Will Marcus and Craig continue to impress the judges? Is this the year of Little Mix who are hoping to be the first group to win the series?

Craig Colton – License To Kill, from James Bond: License To Kill

- What a very strong performance! Great vocals and I agree with Louis and Tulisa, the song was very predictable!

Janet Devlin – Kiss Me, from She's All That

- I thought it was the perfect song for Janet and she sang it pretty well! What a charmer!

Amelia Lily – Think, from Bridget Jones

- Watching Amelia’s performance feels like watching a performance from Kitty! I love the song choice and her strong vocals but I just can’t connect to her.

Misha B – I Have Nothing, from The Bodyguard

- What an amazing performance! But I'm guessing her to in the bottom (again). Sorry boo'

Little Mix – Don’t Let Go, from Set It Off

- I love them! I love their song and the production! They looked like a legit girl band for real!!!! I can definitely see them winning this competition!

Marcus Collins – Higher And Higher, from Ghostbusters II

- This is probably his best performance to date! What a beautiful song choice, nice job gary! Gotta agree with Gary - what a way to close the show!

My Bottom Two: Misha B and Craig Colton

Performance Of The Night: Marcus Collins

The X Factor UK 2011 Results Show 6 - Kitty Says Goodbye!

Misha B and Kitty Brucknell found themselves in the bottom two to sing for their dreams but only one of them can continue on the show. First act to sing is Kitty who sang a very heartfelt rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I literally got goosebumps and was teary eyes watching Kitty performed. I know that she really want this and is working hard for it, plus the fact that she’s extraordinarily talented. Then there’s Misha B who sang Who You Are (Jessie J), it was obviously amazing and I know that she want this as bad as Kitty. Louis backed his act and sent Misha B home but the rest are pro-Misha B so the hardworking Kitty was sent home last night. It was sad but I know that my girl will make it big someday!

Good Luck KittyKat!

(Next week – Rihanna and Rebecca Ferguson will perform on the show! Wee! Rebecca was my favorite last year!)

The X Factor UK 2011 Live Show 6 Recap - Amelia Lily Back On X Factor!

Live Blogging

This week’s theme is all about “Lady Gaga vs. Queen.” Will Kitty bounced back from last week’s bottom two appearances and get to sing for another show next week? Moreover, the big news this week was Frankie being axed from the show! Yay! The first four contestants who didn’t get the chance to sing for the public votes are back and one of them will be given another chance of winning the X-Factor! Who will be the lucky act? Will it be the duo 2 Shoes, Amelia, Jonjo or James Michael?

Kitty Brucknell – Don’t Stop Me Now

- Another amazing performance from Kitty! This girl never fail to deliver!

Craig Colton – Paparazzi

- I don't get all the hype about this guy. I thought the performance was safe. Way overrated, imo.

Little Mix – Telephone/Radio Gaga

- Wow! They’re amazing! The blonde one especially nailed it!!! I can definitely seeing them possibly winning the competition!

Janet Devlin – Somebody To Love

- This would have to be his best performance to date in the competition! Here’s to Janet bouncing back!!!! And Gary, you’re such a meanie so just STFU!

Marcus Collins – Another One Bites The Dust

- I thought his performance was so cabaret and a bit trying hard!

Misha B – Born This Way

- Misha reminds me of Jennifer Hudson with her new do and outfit! I don't like the arrangement of the song! I thought last week's performance was better.

And the public voted for Amelia Lily to be back on the show garnering 48% of the total votes!

Amelia Lily – The Show Must Go On

- Amazing performance from Amelia. I wonder if she'd get the votes with that pink hair. *so original*

Best Performance for me – Little Mix

Bottom Two: Janet Devlin and Marcus Collins
